Parish Minibus Project

Update: June 2008

With your help we are almost there. The Minibus Appeal Fund has been running for a year now and with the help of many generous private donations, fund raising events and grants we have raised £16,000, almost enough to buy a new minibus. We are still looking for a final £3,000, but are recommending that the PCC go ahead with the purchase of a new vehicle now and get the best price for the old one.

Private donations and village fund raising events have provided £7,000 so far with another £1,000 expected. A further £8,000 has been provided by Wychavon District Council, the village Parish Councils and the Eveson Trust. We had hopes of a grant from Awards for All, the Big Lottery Fund, but after three failed applications we have decided not to try again.

The Minibus Appeal Fund team would be very glad to hear from anyone who will help towards raising the final £3,000. Please let us know by contacting any one of the team members:

Don't forget that the current minibus is available to anyone over the age of 25 in the Parish with a clean driving licence. We only ask for a contribution to cover the cost of fuel and insurance.
